Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: On Sept.11,2001 I was at home having just got my son off to school. I happened to turn on the tv just as the second plane was about to hit the second tower at the world trade center. I could not believe my eyes at what I was witnessing on tv. All I could think about was all those lives that was lost on that fateful day. I really wanted to go get my children from school and bring them home so I could be with them. I wanted to protect them from all that was happening that day. I felt so sad for all the children that had just lost their parents in the attacks especially the real young ones that will never know their parents. THey have to rely on their parents surviving family members to tell them about their parents. You never really realize how precious your children are to you until a tragedy happens like this. My son and daughter were afraid to leave me for awhile after this happened and I wasn't sure that I wanted to leave them either. It has taken a long time for my children to feel safe again and myself. I will never forget those lives lost on that fateful day one year ago or the ones that died trying to save lives of countless others.
