911DA Story: Story

On September 11, 2001 I was at my home in Florida. My mother who lives with us came to my bedroom door crying "Michelle, Michelle we are under attack." That was the most horrifying awakening I have ever had. Not only was I awoken from my physical sleep, but from my slumber of denial that this could really happen to us... to Americans...to innocent people. Since then I have had an awakening in my patriotism, and also learned never to take anything for granted because one morning it could be here in Florida...
