911DA Story: Story
I was in study hall when the principal of my high school came on over the PA system and told the teachers to turn on the TV. I had no idea what was going on when I saw the first building. Terrorists didn't
even cross my mind. I thought it was an accident or something happened in the building. I sat there and watched for a moment and turned away for a second. When I looked back, I watched the second plane hit.
My heart and jaw completely dropped. I stayed glued to the TV for another half an hour. The school board decided not to let us watch it because of some "graphic scenes". Our nation's history, which we have to
study anyways was sugar-coated and banned from our sight. As soon as I got out of school, I went to work as a waitress at a local cafe. We had maybe two customers in that day and the radio at full volume as we
listened to our nation under attack. I can't begin to describe what I felt that day but I know every other American felt the same exact way.
