Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: Jay Rounds Global 5 The Day The Twin Towers Collapsed Some day someone will ask you where you were on September 11, 2001. I will say that I was in school and saw one of the two planes crash into the World Trade Center and saw the two buildings collapse. I did not feel anything but hate for the people who did this. The attack happened when I was in Miss Kersch's Earth Science class. It was third period early in the morning. The kids around me could not believe what was happening. I think the people of America were surprised that this happened. I think that we were thinking that we were too feared to be attacked. Well it looks like fear did not keep those two planes from crashing into the twin towers. My self, I did not see the planes hit but I did see the buildings fall. I think the second building that was hit fell first. Ten minutes later the other building fell. How could something like this happen? I wonder if the people in the buildings felt more fear than shock.. The New York Fire department and the police department lost a lot of brave people that day and there were a lot of stories of their bravery. I am proud of the work that they did. Many volunteers from around our area went to help clean up the two-mile path of destruction that was left. It took a long time to clean up and so far everybody that was killed have not been found. Just this past week they have stopped looking for corpses. It was a very sad thing to see knowing that some families will never know what happened to their loved ones. Let this be a lesson to us so that we can be ready for the next attack. Can we do something that will prevent this from happening again? I think we can. I agree with the many ways that the government is trying to prevent this from happening again!!!!
