911DA Story: Story
I was just waking up and my brother-in-law had caled and asked me if I heard about what happened at in New York? I said no. He said two planes had plowed into the world trade centers. I said "yeah right Steve." He told me to turn the T.V. on and I did. I was amazed and could not believe it. I have a hard time remembering after that. I think because of shock, especially when I heard about Flight 93, and the Pentagon. I felt helpless because of being so far away. My heart was heavy with sorrow for all those people. It still is one year later. If I did not have children, I would've definitly gone to New York and helped out. I feel that perhaps all this hatred should stop with one country, and that should be us. How many families are we tearing apart by going over to Afganistan or Iraq? Maybe there is another way. Melinda L. Neuberger,32, Athens, Wisconsin.
