911DA Story: Story
I can't remember what class I was in but I do remember that every class I went to that day we watched it on the tv. When I first saw it on the tv I was in shock. I couldn't beleive that the twin towers had be under attack. That I was watching something that was live: happening at that moment. I almost started crying when I heard that people were jumping out of the towers or falling out and that a lot of people didn't make it out. I felt really bad for their families. I started praying for the people who were still in the building that they make it out ok and for the families who will soon find out or get a call that someone that they loved was in there and didn't make it out. The memory of the two towers falling stands out in mind. Its what I remeber the clearest. Just sitting there not breathing and a blank face. Kids around me with the same expression while some laugh under their breath to where the teacher can't hear them. When I heard them I turned around and said "This is a serious time rigth now, not just for the people in at the scene but for everybody b/c it effect us in ways you might not see yet." They just laughed. It hurt to see that some people didn't take it serious or at least show some kind of respect for what was happening. Things(attacks) like this just show how quickly our lives can change in an instant. How we should always try to live our lives to the fullest.
