911DA Story: Story

I was in 6th grade on Sept. 11th, 2001. I remember going to my English class as normal for 1st period and just kinda going along with everything as if everything was normal and ok. Little did I know that terrorists were going to hurt our country so bad that day. As were were sitting in class a kid sitting accross from me says something about planes flying into buildings somewhere in New York. He was quickly silenced by the teacher who was advised not to allow us to watch t.v. to see what had happened or to even speak of it if we did know anything. Our entire school was in confusion and the rest of the day was just sad and not intact. Some teachers didn't do as they were told and let us watch for a few moments on the News what was going on. only being 11 years old we didnt quite understand it all. It was to much to grasp. When i went home that night, which was also my mothers birthday, our whole family just sat together and didnt really say all that much. There deffinately wasnt a mood to celebrate. We were all deeply hurt by what had happened and We Will Never Forget! Our country has come a long way, I just got back form NY about a week ago, If you get the chance go and see the site of the WTC it is truly heart breaking. Its one thing to see it on t.v. but you have to be able to see it in real life in order to grasp the true mass behind it all...
