Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: I had a six month old baby boy, and so I was taking a nap. My husband was on the road driving a semi. He had just gotten out of Driving School. The phone rang and it was him. I could tell by his voice that something was wrong. He said, "Turn on the news." Instantly I thought something had happened to my sister, who's in the AirForce. So I turned on the Television and it took about a full minute to realize just what had happened. I heard news reporters saying that the rate of deaths so far was more than Pearl Harbor. I didn't know anyone who could have possibly lived in NY, but my heart felt like it was being ripped out of my chest. My eyes welled up with tears for those poor souls that were innocently murdered. I went into my baby's room and picked him up. All I could think is, "Those people had no idea what was coming. Could this happen to my family? Could my husband be delivering something and all of the sudden he's blowed to peices?" It was a terrifying moment. When I was a child, I remember my mother talking about the complete state of frantic panic that everyone was in. I didn't understand at all. I thought, "Well, that's what the vice-president is for." But on September 11th, I fully understood. Whether or not we had any connection to NY or not they attacted each and every one of our homes, hearts and lives. And to that I say, "They may had the stomaches to kill, but I do not. Our people came to America for freedom, not WAR."
