I had just got my two daughters on the school bus, after getting on them for running late. I grabbed my 1 year old son and headed to my Grandmothers, we were going shopping. When I had walked into her house and she told me a plane just flew into the World Trade Center in New York, we didn't know yet if it was an accident or intentional. When we sat and watched the tv to see what they had said, we saw the second plane, all I could do was hold my son. Then finding out that another plane had crashed into the Pentegon. I don't know if I was in shock or what, we continued on to the store, did our shopping then came on home. Getting back home I turned on the tv and they were showing the attacks, I just broke down crying, so scared that this could happen in my country. And yet so thankful that I have my family, my children and my husband. Over the past year my husband and I have talked so much about what has happened. We are not going to run scared in our own home, town or country. No matter what happens I feel safe living in America and very Proud to be an American. My heart goes out to all the people and their familes who parished in the September 11th attacks, and to all the Firefighters, Policemen and volunteers who put all their time, efforts and hearts into helping and trying to find survivors after the September 11th attacks.
