Sitting at my desk, doing data security I watched the news of 9/11 unfold on the internet. I was shocked and saddeded for many reasons. Scared for our nation and saddened for those who had lost and were losing their lives. My father was in ill health at the time and I wondered how he felt as he'd served proudly in WW2. He always said, "I just don't know what to think of the world today"...he was 83 and he died the following Feb.
I found myself alone after work on 9/11 and not able to share my saddness w/anyone. I like millions of others, went about "business a usual" as best I could.
Today, one yr. later, I'm even more saddened listening to the the survivors stories and am again - alone.
I find inspiration in the stories as well and have decided to continue to rely upon my own comfort and draw peace from my inner soul as I wish for peace in the world.
