911DA Story: Story
We watched everything on TV all day long. Seemed like it just kept going on and on and on. Still seems that way. It didn't seem real, and I agree, that Hollywood could not have done in the movies what was done to New York City on that day.
At first, it wasn't touching me the way it was touching people who had friends and/or relatives die in this tragedy.
I later found out that my sister's best friend in New York City was married to one of the firemen that died that day. My sister was maid of honor in their wedding.
I also have a friend at work whose best friend of 30 years was on the first plane that crashed into the World Trade Center.
This made it personal and the realization of the tragedy finally hit me.
There are no words to adequately describe my feelings. This is a tragedy that has touched the lives of every American. This country will never be the same. The word FREEDOM now means so much more than it did before the tragedy.
GOD BLESS AMERICA and ALL AMERICANS.
