911DA Story: Story

I was at work on that sunny morning in the JHS I worked in. I passed by the office and saw teachers frantically saying a plane hit the WTC. Others had just came in and witnessed it driving to work. My first reaction was to get in touch with all my friends who worked in the city. I ran outside and called my mom and instantly started crying and snuck my way home while frantically calling everyone. All answered except one, the one I was most worried about. We had known each other for years and recently began dating. We sat in my living room and watched it on tv with horror. In shock, I scurried my way back to work to find chaos. Teachers were crying, parents were frantically trying to take there kids home. I got myself together and did what I had to do. I held crying teacher's hands, kept the children and parents in order, called my friend still to no avail. I went into the teacher's lounge to find ashes settling on the lunch table. I looked out the window and saw that cars were all turning gray. I still couldn't register what was going on around me. I had a little radio which we set up in the lounge and listened to for new news. Finally, I came home and I recieved a call saying that my friend was in the building. Then reality hit. I would never hear from him again. I fell to the ground and cried until there were no tears left.
