Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: I witnessed history on September 11. My teacher told me that a hijacked plane hit the World Trade Center. My teacher turrned on the TV in her classroom and we saw what was happening. We saw te video of the Trade Center Towers and the plane crashing into them. It was unbeleiveable. I didn't see why they couldn't have told us sooner because we found out anyway. We found out when we got home from school. I guess they didn't want us to get worried because some students had parents or relatives in the World Trade Center. I was very surprised then. When I got home, I turned on the TV right away. I was shocked. My life hasn't changed much since September 11. The atmostphere in schools and around the United States has changed a great deal. Around the United States, people are now more patriotic then ever before and the security of airports and stores have increased rapidly since September 11. In school now we have lockdown and we have student IDs. the purpose for lockdown is in case there is an intruder in the building, we can all hide and be safe. the purpose for the student IDs are so we can identify if there is an intruder. No relatives, aunts, or uncles of mine were killed on September 11 so I have nothing to worry about. My life today was the same as before September 11.
