Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: My name is Amanda, and on September 11th, 2001 I was 12 years old. I had woken up, gotten ready for school, got in my moms car and we wre not even a block away, when suddenly on my favorite radio station hte horrible announcement came on. I was trembling with fear, as i remembered that my Grandparents had just left for a vacation in New York. I still went to school that day, but we wrent required to do any work. We sat at our desks, Eyes glued to the TV screen. We watched the towes collapse, over, and over again. A few of my classmates were crying because they had found out that one of their loved ones had perished in the WTC. I joined them, in fear that my Grandparents were lost as well. The day was a blur from then on, but a few days later i remember as well as yesterday. We were dropping my friend off at home and afterwards we drove past This house that had a sheet posted to the garage door, that said "God belss America". Cars were stopping to sign, and we stopped as well. we still had no word from my grandparents. I walked over to the sheet, and signed: "God be with you all"and "i love you grandma and grandpa" Then i burst into uncotrollable sobbing on the way back to the car. A bout a week and a half later we got the call we had been hopeing for. My aunt called to tell us that she had just spoken to our grandparents and that they were ok. I thank the lord i dint loose anyone, and i ask for the lords blessing and guidence for the ones who did. This is my story, that will ever live inside me.
