I was in oakland running samples on our instrument when the director of our facility told me of the news of the first and second airlines plunging into the World Trade Center. Most of the circuits were busy on the phone and the internet was sluggish, so I could only listen to the radio. My girlfriend, now my wife, was scared, and so was I. However, I can say that my city and the people in it was not afraid, and the city was evacuated in an orderly fashion. I could not imagine, and hope that my son nor I nor any other american have to go through this again. Stay viligant America!
