911DA Story: Story
In Los Angeles on September 11, 2001 at the time the first tower of the world trade center had just been hit, it was about 6:00 in the morning. I woke up to my mother talking on the phone to my aunt and screaming in terror that we were under attack. i will never be able to forget the terror i heard in her voice. As i woke up, i had no idea what she was talking about. As i walked into the living room to join my mother and watch t.v., i was speechless in witnessing the second plane hit into the other tower. I began to cry as the real effect of what was happening began to sink in. I was in my junior year of college at Califonia State University, Northridge and decided to stay home from school in lue of not knowing what was going to happen next. Was California going to be a target? I was overcome with such an unsettling feeling i could barely get up from the couch. I have never felt so unsure of life as i did at that very moment. I was so scared and spent the majority of the day stuck to the t.v. Another thing i remember as i went to watch t.v. in that morning is hearing the voice of i think it was peter jennings. He kept saying, "oh my G-d", oh my G-d, the world will never be the same.
