911DA Story: Story

I got to the office at around 8:30 A.M. I had not had time to turn on my radio. One of my co-workers came out into the front reception area as soon as he heard the news of the 1st attack. I immediately turned on my radio and it seemed like only minutes has passed and the announcer was saying that the Trade Center was crashed into by an airplane, at first we thought it was the same story but soon realized they were talking about the second tower. At that point, I think all of us were in shock and awe.
Our company employs about 50 people and we were all tuned to the nearest radio and one TV in the conference room.
I cannot describe the feelings that I felt, and still feel today as we commorate the 1st anniversary. I cried many times today. Hearing our Govenor speak today, Daniel Rodriquez singing, You'll Never Walk Alone, Celene Dion, doing God Bless America in the true fashion of Kate Smith.
I will never forget.
I am so PROUD to be and American!
