911DA Story: Story

On the day of September 11th, 2001, a terrible thing happened and I remember that day clearly. My dad came into my room to wake me up and tell me to come downstairs. I didn't know why and I was too tired to guess. I stood at the bottom step of the stairs and stared at the TV with my jaw hanging to the bottem. I came down just in time to see the plane hit the second tower. I saw my mom stand up at go to the phone to call my sister at Stanford. Her close friend was attending school at Columbia in New York. Even though chances were that he wasn't there at the time, my mom couldn't help but worry. I watched for about half an hour after that and then left to go to my orthodontist appointment. The people working there even had thier TV on to a news channel. (which was EVERY channel at the time)After that I was dropped of at school I remember watching the news in every class. It took a while for the fact that thousands of innocent Americans had died in a matter of minutes to sink in. I will never forget that terrible day, and I'm sure no one else will either.
