Tell us your story: the events of september 11th 2001 still lurk in my head as if it were yesterday. i was at home, my 3 year old son and myself were asleep. my husband (who works at the pentagon) called me to let me know that a plane had hit the first tower. as i woke up just enough to go into the living room and turn on the television i was thrown into a state of confusion,shock and disbelief. i couldent believe what i was watching. as i sat there and watched i recieved the second phone call from my husband to inform me that the pentagon had been hit. thats when it really hit me. i was 4 months pregnant with our second child and all i could think about was my unborn child never knowing her father. as my son woke up and came to join me i just held him and cryed. that phone call from my husband was the last one i recieved and for hours upon hours all i could do was wonder if he was okay. my dad called me and we just sat on the phone and watched and waited. it was about 12 hours later my husband walked through our front door and i just lost it. i broke down and cryed in his arms. all the thing we take for granted every day. all the little things that are in no way importaint. i forgot all of thoes things on that day. i was glad to have my family and to know that my husband was alive. my heart hurts for all thoes who were not as lucky as i was.
