911DA Story: Story

I will never forget.......getting ready for work that morning, going to the kitchen to refill my morning coffee....as I passed through the living room I caught the first news flash......live pictures of the first tower ablaze ...... as I watched in horror..... another plane hit the second tower..........I can not explain the overwhelming rush of feelings that engulfed me......in minutes there was more bad news.....the pentagon....a plane down in Pennsylvania......terror.....destruction......a feeling of vulnerability that I, as a proud American Citizen have never before experienced. A deep knowing that life as I knew it was forever changed. I remember the days and weeks that followed.....the newly awakened compassion and patriotism that was evidenced in the behavior of each and every American.......everyone took the time to be kind, to smile at a stranger, to be a considerate driver, all were able and willing to lend a helping hand without being asked.... My prayer is that we will all remember and honor the memory of those who were lost with our continued compassion, patriotism and our dedication to the preservation of freedom.....

May God Bless each and every one of you..............and may God Bless America
