Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: When I had first heard the news on the radio, I had thought that it had been some plane that had lost control. When I got into the elevator going to my office some ladies had been discussing that it was an act done on purpose. It was very scary and being the type of person I am, anxiety attacks, and recently had just became a mother (on June 1, 2001), it was very difficult for me. All I wanted to do was go home and be with my son (who at the time was only 3 months and 10 days). Every night for several weeks I laid in bed worried that I may never see my son grow up, worried that something terrible would happen to me and he would never see me grow up with him. I pray to the Lord every night and for all those serving in the forces that have given me another day with my son. As my son is my sunshine and without him I don't know where I would be today. I was grateful to see how the world had come together, giving blood, donations, etc. It is very sad to think that something like this would bring the world so close, but it is very rewarding to know the country we live in stands by one another. My heart goes out to the families who had lost so many loved ones and raise my hat to those who had been so heroic. They will always be remembered in my heart and it is something as my son grows older will learn to remember as well. Every newspaper clipping and article I could find has been saved in rememberance of this day. Of those who had put their lives at stake to give us the freedom, liberty and comfort to live our lives as we so wish. Today my son is 15 months and 10 days and I am so very thankful for every day that I have knowing that we are still together.
