Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: I work for a dental supply company and was at my desk when the phone rang. It was one of our salespeople and she told us about the first plane hitting the World Trade Center. We turned on the radio as our television wasn't working. We were all glued to the radio all day long listening to the reports out of New York, Washington and Pennsylvania. Girard is near Youngstown, which is very near where Flight 93 crashed. The plane actually flew over our area before turning around and crashing near Shanksville PA. Of course, we did not find that out until the next day. We were all heartsick that something like this could happen here in our country. I prayed for the families of the victims right then and there. I just wanted to rush home to my children and hug them. They were affected greatly by this at the time. One year later, we have put the events into perspective I think. We are much more aware of our surroundings and the people around us.
