The site loaded slowly and it reported that a small Cessna type plane had crashed into the WTC. Later it was confirmed that the plane was a large passenger plane. When the second plane hit something caused me to go outside. Along with hundreds of other people just standing in the middle of 5th. Ave. looking southward (traffic had COMPLETELY srtopped) we watched the plume of smoke coming from the south tower fall as the building gave way. I ran back inside in hysterics and later, now listening to a radio, heard of the second tower falling, the Pentagon, and the plane crash in PA. Around 12:00 I walked uptown, met my fiance, and we walked, with thousands of others, across the Queensbourough bridge. At home the news was turned on and remained on for the next few days. That footage played over and over. So many more details but that is the jist of my experience. I still can't wrap my mind around what happened.
