911DA Story: Story
I was on my way to work when the World Trade Center was devastated. When I walked into my office, a fellow employee told me what happened. I immediately knew that this attack was unlike any attack that the U.S. had experienced in the past, including Pearl Harbor. I immediately felt that the devastation on the World Trade Center by merging the two major symbols of our economy was a was a symbol of the devastation of our economy; of our life in the U.S. as we had known it; that nothing would ever be the same. I spoke these feelings to my co-workers who did not understand the signficance of what I had said. For that matter, neither did I. My perceptions were based upon feelings. I knew we had experienced another "Pearl Harbor".
My perceptions and observations proved true over the past five years, and has altered Life in the U.S. on many levels and merged our country into another terrible war.
Certainly for all of the survivors whose family members perished on 9/11/01, life will never be the same. My greatest desire is that everyone -- our entire global population -- will learn the lesson once and for all -- that nothing good ever comes from war!
