Like most Americans I will never forget what I was doing when I heard the news. I had been married for exactly one month and had just woken up and walked downstairs my new husband got up earlier than me each morning to watch a little news before heading off to work. I looked at the tv screen as a picture of the first tower that was hit was being shown and I looked at my husband and asked "what are you watching?" you see I had assumed he had popped in some video. He told me he was watching the news and that one of the world trade center towers had been hit by a plane, I was in disbelief and then before my very eyes we watched as the 2nd tower was hit. I spent that whole morning in front of my tv, praying, crying and in utter astonishment felt my very core being shaken. I still lift the survivors in New York and DC up in prayer but I truly believe that we are all survivors.
