I had just entered the classroom when my co teacher gave me a blank look and pointed to the television that she had set up in the front of the classroom. We watched astonished by what we were witnessing. The students didn't quite understand what was happening as I now realize neither did I. The rest of the day was just one blur, connecting with people each with a different story, one teacher had a friend working in the building, one student's aunt or parent, parents coming to take children out early, and teachers leaving to pick up their own children early. I remember just wanting to hold all of my loved ones. And how much I missed having my fiancee to hold me and chase away the sadness.
