It was my last day of my summer vacation. My mom was being nice and letting me sleep in. Then the first plane hit the tower. She woke me up after the second plane hit. She realized that this was no accident. At first I didn't believe that we were under attack. Then I saw the footage, I knew it was no accident. I was glued to the television. I could not beleive what was unfolding before the eyes of America. I was scared, sad, and worried about what would happen next. I wasn't sure where America stood. I know that I had never been more proud to be an American. As it turns out America has stood tall, and faced the challenge that was thrown at us. We came together and became the United States of America. That's something that we haven't been in a long time. We aren't scared to show our patriotism. We will always stand tall and wave our flag and be proud to be Americans.
