911DA Story: Story

My mom woke me up for school just as the first tower collapsed. At first I thought to myself that this has to be a dream, but in fact it was a real life nightmare. As the day went by, no one could stay on track of what they were doing. As time went by and I saw the American people pull together like I have never seen before. Lines around the block of people wanting to help by donating blood or giving contributions. The streets turned into streams of red, white, and bluewith all the flags.
Now a year later as I look back on that day I realized that the American people are all somewhat like the mystical bird that my city is named after, the Phoenix. We have risen from the ashes of Ground Zero and showed the world that no one can bring us to our knees. The American people now more than ever are a force to be reckoned with and I hope that the rest of the world will realize that messing with us isn't such a good idea so this will all end. So, in this day of rememberance, we should all be proud to live in the greatest country in the world, I know I am. God Bless!
