Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: I was living on campus and my best friend called and told me to turn on my television. The college is about ten miles away from Ft. Campbell ARMY base. It is not unusual to see and hear helicopters and airplanes flying over campus and on this day there was a very strange silence. I sat glued to the television watching all of the events unfold. I couldn't believe my eyes. I think I called everyone I knew to tell them how much I loved them. I wanted to go home and be with my family because I was scared. I was even more frightened because the ARMY base was so close, crazy things were running through my mind like would they attack here, after all Ft. Campbell is one of the first posts to send people they have special forces and they are air assault. I will never forget that day or the first time I saw and heard a plane overhead.
