911DA Story: Story
I was in a temporary duty status at Wright-Patterson AFB, in Ohio.
I along with several collegues were attending a software class on that fateful day. We had not taken a break all morning and finally broke for lunch about 1:00PM. One of the first persons out the door went downstairs in the building we were in to the restuarant we had seen on our way to class. She noticed everyone around standing in front of a barber shop watching televison. When she saw what had happened, she rushed back to the class to inform everyone.
Of course we were all first in diselief, then awestruck. I had my cell phone with me and called my wife in Florida. She related to me all the happenings of the morning.
All of us were saddened, horrified, and terribly angry at what had happened that morning and remain the same to this day. Thanks for letting me share my story.
