911DA Story: Story

I remember on that morning, or actually I don't remember, the announcement coming over the loudspeaker that the World Trade Center in New York had been attacked. At that time I was in a class that didn't have a loudspeaker, so when I went to my next class, I was lost in the conversation. I thought everyone was talking about a movie; it was so hard to believe that the symbols of New York had come crumbling down. There were rumors flying around about how many more planes were in the air, and where they were headed among other things. Fear was in the air as people left campus early to get out of the city as soon as possible. I remember seeing the fighter planes circling above as a reminder that this was actually happening, it was real. Seeing those helped bring this event into reality, one that was still hard to grasp.
