I was in my Current History class, and our teacher told us that something was going on that would change our lives forever. He turned on the TV in the class, and we watched the news and saw the 2nd tower be hit. Everyone was scaried and many were crying. I was in total shock. All day long we watched the news. When I got home from school, I continued to watch the news and cried when I thought about all the people who have died or lost a loved one.

Yes, my life has changed because of September 11, 2001. I have learned to be very proud to be an American. I have learned to appreciate what I have in my life. I am so glad that I am alive and so is my family and loved ones.

I think we need to remember how Americans pulled together to get through the horrible events. We need to remember how proud we were to be American and keep that pride going.

Yes I flew an American flag after the events. Yes, my feelings changed as a result of the day. I now see the flag as a symbol of love, bravery, pride, and honor.
