911DA Story: Story
Since September 11th I've had the privilege of going to ground zero. I visited NYC in May, so it was only a few months until it would be 5 years. Even though, time has passed, ground zero is still a very busy place. People still show their love for our country by leaving flowers, notes, etc. This was such a special moment for me. I've always wanted to go to ground zero, not only to see, but to feel what it was like to be there remembering that terrible day. I was overwhelmed and had tears rolling down my cheeks. I will hold this day in my heart forever, because I know what happened there on Sept. 11th. I may not have been there, but I have sympathy for everyone that perished that day. I have a brother is a United States Marine and just returned home from Iraq on Sept. 5th. I have to say that I was extremely happy that he and his platoon got home safe. I pray for all the troops overseas, hoping for their safe return home. Good Bless America and our troops!
