NMAH Story NMAH Story: Story How did you witness history on September 11th? Share your experience. I, as well as the rest of America, witnessed history on September 11th, 2001. On this day, just like any other week day,I was in school. I was going into my third period class which is History. The television was on when i walked in and the few students that were in the class were watching CNN. The teacher wasn't in the classroom yet. I just sat down and watched. It said that the first tower had been hit and they thought it was an accident. The teacher came into class and knew what was going on because she was watching TV in another room. Then we all sat there and watched as the second tower was hit. By this time they still weren't sure if it was an accident or not. But then when there was an explosion in the Pentagon I think everybody knew that it wasn't an accident. At the end of the period we turned off the TV and talked about what had happend. By next period we were not allowed to watch TV anymore and the principal said to proceed as a normal day which was next to immpossible to do. Everybody was really in awe of everything that happend and we were all part of history that day. NMAH Story: Life Changed Has your life changed because of September 11, 2001? If so, tell us how. I think everyone's life has changed as a result of September 11, 2001. It has changed on a mental an a physical level. Everybody went through a state of shock. And more physical, people had to go, and still do, have to go through more and more security checks at the airport. I, personally, have not gone to the airport since this happend, but people have told me about their experiences. And of course,peoples lives have drastically changed if they lost someone close to them. But really, all of us have lost someone, like policemen and firefighters. NMAH Story: Remembered What do you think should be remembered about September 11th? I think that all of those people that died on September 11, 2001 should be remembered, as well as all the firfighters and policemen that helped out with everything. And the people that have to go on with life without the people that they loved and lost. And of course remember the World Trade Center and how our country is still a free one. NMAH Story: Flag Did you fly an American flag after the events of September 11th? Have your feelings about the American flag changed as a result of September 11th?
