NMAH Story NMAH Story: Story How did you witness history on September 11th? Share your experience. In school my homeroom teacher told us that the twin towers had been hit by planes. I didn't really now what the twin towers were because i'd never been to New York or anyhting like that so I just thought a little private plane lost control and hit a building, but then he told us the rest of the story about terrorist and how we were under attack. All of the students basiclaay spent the rest of the day in a daze almost. NMAH Story: Life Changed Has your life changed because of September 11, 2001? If so, tell us how. Yes, I think I'm more aware of the world. I wasn't changed directly because I din't know anyone who died, but I think we are all changed in someway. It's like living through history, it seams weird to me that someday I'll be telling this story to my kids. NMAH Story: Remembered What do you think should be remembered about September 11th? I think the fact that America was hurt but not "down for the count" should be remembered. Though the terrorist got us that day we were still strong as a nation and bounced back. I also think that we should always remember the heroic acts of the day. The storys from flight 93 are amzing. I think it took a great deal of courage to attack the terorists how they did. NMAH Story: Flag Did you fly an American flag after the events of September 11th? Have your feelings about the American flag changed as a result of September 11th? Yes, I've always had a great respect for the flag. In some ways I think how I see it now is differant though. Before I new it meant freedom, but on 9/11 I truly found out what that meant.
