NMAH Story NMAH Story: Story How did you witness history on September 11th? Share your experience. When the first plane crashed into th first World Trade Center I was completly shocked. I never thought that in a million years I would be alive to witness a historical event. I was in my third period reading class and we were dicussing a book and a teacher ran into my class crying and told my teacher to turn the t.v on. At that moment I knew that something was wrong and that something just wasnt right. My teacher turned the t.v on and it said, "Breaking news, the second plane has just crashed into the second tower." We sat in silence for about 20 minuets until everyone was aware of how the two towers came crashing down and why. At that exact moment I still really wasnt sure what was going on I didnt know if whether I should be sad or mad, even happy. I was so confused. Then my tecaher Mrs. Edwards explained to us about Osama Bin Ladin and Al-Quaeda didnt like The United States. Also hearing about how the Pentagon was crashed into on te same day I was just sad. NMAH Story: Life Changed Has your life changed because of September 11, 2001? If so, tell us how. I think now when I ask for things Im alot more grateful because I now know that you can have the world in one second but you can loose it all in the next. I alos think that along with my life being changed everyone else's lives were changed too. And I think that people will always ahve that special date marked in their hearts forever. NMAH Story: Remembered What do you think should be remembered about September 11th? I think that everyone should remember how many people were lost in this tragic event and how many people lost their family memeber in a little amount of time. Its sad when you think back to when you see people jumping out of windows to save their lives and then on the other hand dying from the windows being so high. NMAH Story: Flag Did you fly an American flag after the events of September 11th? Have your feelings about the American flag changed as a result of September 11th? I went to a disscusion group and we hung flags out side out stores and windows and on cars because during that time we appreciated The United States alot more. We hen relized that were now one of those countries who should be thatnkful for what we have and that we still ahd out lifes to be thankful for.
