Yes I saw September 11th last year and it is often described as the biggest massacre of America. I saw two incredibly important buildings destroyed by what is now called 'the enemy'. This is not history, not yet. These events are still in progress. We are still reacting, still giving pain for pain for pain. My life has changed; parts of me are weakened, parts strengthened. I am more compassionate, less wilfull. We cannot remember and pass on hatred because of this. We must give to our posterity the hope that we will heal both our attackers and ourselves. I did not fly a flag after September 11th. I had no need to. For those who need to, I hope that they soon have the strength to put it down. Peace is a hard art, yet I hope it will come.
