NMAH Story NMAH Story: Story How did you witness history on September 11th? Share your experience. I was on vacation and awaken to a lovely sunny morning. I remember looking at the clock and saying to myself it's to early to get up, so I turned on the tv to catch Regis & kelly. I couldn't firgure out why I had no tv, as I turned channels I saw nothing but snow. I got to ch2 the one I can never get any other time, I saw the 1st wtc on fire. Not knowing what had happen I called my daughter in Virgina cause she has cable, I said Vi cut on your tv and tell me what's going on up here I think someone's tring to blow us up cause the wtc got hit by a plane. As she"s informing me about the plane and I'm looking at ch2 I see the 2nd plane come into the picture I said oh my god Vi do you see it, here comes another one, and then it turned like a car making a u turn and went right into the building. NMAH Story: Life Changed Has your life changed because of September 11, 2001? If so, tell us how. I take nothing for granted. I always have believed in the lord my god. Only now I get on my knees and pray and give thanks for all that he has done for me and my family. I ask him to give the families of all we loss the courage to go on living and not give up, that he looks down on all the chilren and watch over them, this I do every day. On my job when people start to complain about little things I'm the first to remind them how bless they are to be among the living and they should give god the praise for what thay have. NMAH Story: Remembered What do you think should be remembered about September 11th? I think everyone should remember, but for the grace of god it could have been themself. That this was an evil act not a god's will. When you look at, or hear a child remember this could be one who's parent could not and will not be home again because of 9/11. Remember to say goodmorning to someone, any one as you start your day. It could be on a tran, bus, plane, or even an elevator cause you never know. NMAH Story: Flag Did you fly an American flag after the events of September 11th? Have your feelings about the American flag changed as a result of September 11th? I did fly American flags, not only from my home but also any and everywhere else. In fact in 2000 I told my husband I was putting away my passport because I was not leaving the USA for a few years. I had decieded that we as americans don't know what we have right here that people from around the world come over here to see. So every year until I see my country sites I was not leaving it. So 2000 it was Alaska, 2001 Hawaii, 2002 Las Vegas. If the Lord grants me 2003 look out New Orleans here we come.
