NMAH Story NMAH Story: Story How did you witness history on September 11th? Share your experience. When i went to school on September 11, 2001, I had no ideal about the events of the day. I don't live in New York, but it still devestated many of us. It was about 8:30 in the morning when my principal came ont he intercom and said that the WTC had been hit but thet didn't know by what. My reaction was like Oh My Gosh, what is going to happen now. Well, I switched classes and everybody in school was watching the news to see what was going on. While we were in class the second plane hit the WTC. That's when I remember the president said that it was most likely a terrorist attack. I also remember thinking to myself "what is my brother doing," I was thinking that because September 11 is my brothers birthday. It has changed the way i think about the world. NMAH Story: Life Changed Has your life changed because of September 11, 2001? If so, tell us how. My life has changed, because my brother joined the army after that. He went through basic training and is now in Germany on call to goto Iraq, because of the terrorist attacks. My brother has only been in Germany for a few months, but I realized that he did this so he can serve his country. I just hope that it is settled soon because I don't want anyone else in danger because of 9-11. NMAH Story: Remembered What do you think should be remembered about September 11th? I think the main thing that should be remembered about 9-11, is that it is not a joke. everybody should pray for the troops. Nobody should be forgotten that many people gave up their lives for this attack and many more are giving their lives now. Just remember that our troops and their families need prayer. NMAH Story: Flag Did you fly an American flag after the events of September 11th? Have your feelings about the American flag changed as a result of September 11th? No, I did not fly an american flag after the events, because my family couldn't afford to but a pole to put in the yard. Although alot of my neighbors did.
