<text>I came home at about 3pm in the afternoon (New Zealand Time). As I was folding my clothes up I switched on the TV and they were playing the shots of the planes hitting the World Trade Centre, over and over. I couldn't believe it, I was absolutly stunned with horror.

Next they showed footage of the towers collapsing. I sat awestruck for the next few hours as both of our 3 public TV channels showed continuous footage of the catastrophe.

I rang my cousin to ask if he was watching the TV and he said he was. We were both pretty much speechless.

Next came the news about the Pentagon and the plane in Pennsylvania. When we realised it was a large-scale, premeditated attack, we were evn more sickened.

For the next few days, it was all anyone could talk about. It was all over the newspapers, on TV, on the radio, in public, everywhere!

It was such a sad, and horrific time. Such a pointless waste of so many innocent souls.</text>

I've turned anti-Muslim. I absolutely hate that religion.
I've become very, pro-American. I have also changed my mind about President Bush, who I thought showed great leadership in the days immediately following 9/11, as did Rudy Giuliani.

I have turned from a liberal into a conservative exponent and thinker.

It's made more more patriotic and more cynical about life.

It was the worst disaster I have ever witnessed in my life and the images still haunt me.

It has awakened me to the threat of terrorism around the world. It has made me more aware and interested in geo-politics.

It has made me hostile to immigrants, especially muslims, pouring into Western countries.</text>

<text>No, unfortunately. I am a New Zealander, living in New Zealand and I didn't (and still don't) have a USA flag. However I don't have a New Zealand flag either. But I surely would have hung one up if I did.

My feelings have definitely changed about the flag. I love the USA, and everytime I see the flag I think about what it represents. America is such a great, successful country in so many fields: science, technology, entertainment, sports, etc. I admire America's success, freedom, opportunities, and its ideals. It seems like the luckiest country in the world to live in. I hope to visit one day.

I felt so sorry when she was being attacked. The flag is very special to me now. A symbol of hope and freedom and democracy all over the world

This may sound crazy, but....even though I was born, raised, and live in another country, seeing the flag makes me feel patriotic for America. It makes me wish I was an American, so I could stand tall and proud and be part of their great country.

God Bless America </text>
