NMAH Story NMAH Story: Story How did you witness history on September 11th? Share your experience. When I was younger my mother would always tell me that she would never forget where she was or what she was doing at the time she found out that John F. Kennedy had been murdured. She said it was a moment in history that the U.S. will never forget and she always told me that she hoped that I would never have a simmular expierence. The day that I woke up to my grandmother on the phone saying that a plane had crashed into one of the twin towers, I remember thinking someone was playing a joke on the radio, that this couldn't be true. We turned on the news and I listened to the radio all the way to school. Throughout the entire day all that I did was watch as the towers fell and the moment the plane first crashed into the first tower was replayed again and again. It was a day in our nations history that I will never forget. NMAH Story: Life Changed Has your life changed because of September 11, 2001? If so, tell us how. Because of September 11, 2001 I am more concious about the events that are taking place concerning not only our contry, but our world as a whole. I now realize that the people I see everyday could one day go to work and something could happen and I might never see then again. Because of September 11 I am more appreciative of those I might sometimes take for granted. NMAH Story: Remembered What do you think should be remembered about September 11th? One of the things that I think is most important to remember about September 11 is how our nation reacted as a whole. We mourned together for the loss of innocent lives, we gave thanks together for the bravery and courage shown by those who risked and in some cases gave their own lives in order to try and save others, and we also united in our desicion that a select group was to blame for this trajity not an entire nation.
