We are thousands of miles away from where the WTC stood, but the impact of that day still haunts our family. We, like millions of others, were totally devastated that September morning. Watching on TV, one tower, burning and not knowing what happened and then all of a sudden, the second plane crashes into the second building. It was so unbelievable...a sight that just took your breathe away and leaves you standing there in a state of total disbelief. Luckily, there were great people of courage, that were able to help get people out of those buildings. Those regular everyday people, the firefighters and the police officers are the everyday heroes of our country. That's what makes it the great nation it is...people of courage. I really want to give thanks and let them know that they are truly appreciated and that their courage will not be forgotten...To those that lost loved ones...we feel your great sense of loss and that you are not alone and when you want to tell your story...we are here to listen...You are greatly appreciated and dearly loved...The Giron Family of Baldwin Park, CA. I did fly my flag...My brother, Josh, is a Marine and when he was in the service, he gave the flag to me. It waves in front of my home with pride. My grandfather, uncles and brother have served our great country with pride and dignity. Our family knows and respects what has been given in order to protect our rights and freedom.
