NMAH Story NMAH Story: Story How did you witness history on September 11th? Share your experience. It was second period and I was in Algebra when an anouncment came on over the intercome that twin towers were hit by two planes. When I heard this I thought of the time when I was on vacation there and was standing on top of one of the towers. Then when about 8th period came I talked to a girl that said she watched the towers fall on t.v. and I remember telling her that she was crazy those two buildings could never be brought down. When school ended I went home and turned on the t.v. and I started watching how the planes hit and then everybody started running and I just couldn't believe that what I was watching was real. They should how people were jumping out of the building and all the injured people. The next images were of the buildings collapsing and the cloud of dust covered everything. Later on that night there were pictures of the wrecked fire trucks and police cars and then the pictures of the hospital and all the injured people. Then I realized that all of this was real. At my house we flew an American flag before and after September 11. Now when ever I look at the flag I think of all the wars and conflicts and now I also think of the attacks of September 11.
