NMAH Story NMAH Story: Story How did you witness history on September 11th? Share your experience. I woke up in the morning and came out into my living room. After noticing the horror on the faces of my two sisters and parents, I asked what was wrong. My mother explained to me that the World Trade Center had been hit by a plane. The second tower had not been hit yet when i woke up. My family sat around the television not wanting to know what would happen next, but we were attatched to it. Then about 5 or 10 minutes later, we witnessed the second tower being struck. This was when reality set in for me. I then watched the news for a little longer until i had to go to school. Despite reality setting in, I was still in a state of shock. When I got to school I informed some people of what I knew and talked about it with others. In all of my classes that day we talked about the events that occured in the morning. After the day was over, I still hadn't come out of shock and had also moved into the state of sadness and mourning for all of the people that died.
