NMAH Story: Story

It was early in the morning when my mom came running up
from down stairs. For some reason she had turned on CNN
that morning just in time to see the second tower fall.
We sat in font of the T.V. while I ate my breakfast.
We did not know if I was going to have school that day
so my mom called to check. School was still on.
When I got to school nobody knew what to do. We went to
our first classes and waited. All classroom activites for
some reason did not stop except for one, French, where our
teacher had a T.V. with the news. This was very stranged
for such a powerful day, I thought.
The day went on with one kid saying, "I dont care if a
bunch of unimportant building fell down." Others went home
early, crying, not knowing if they had lost someome they
knew. The day was over for me with cross country practice.

NMAH Story: Life Changed

Somewhat. I have seen how united our country can be, but
how foolish we look in the eyes of other countries.

NMAH Story: Remembered

The victims and the people who fought to save them.

NMAH Story: Flag

My mom and I did not fly an American flag after September
11th for not soon after, we had left the country for a year.
We went to a country where there was some anti-American
sentiment which made us think about how America is viewed
in the eyes of other countries.
We are often arrogant and wasteful.
