NMAH Story: Story
I just got to work. Someone said that a plane had hit the WTC. I thought it was an accident. I went to my room. Coworkers had the computer on getting the news. We then heard there was a second plane. We all had our radios on. then it was the Pentagon. someone went home and grabbed a tv. We couldn't believe it. what was happening. I work at Canyon Heights Young Parents High School in kaysville, Ut. Many of our teenage mother's just hugged their babies and din't want to go to class. Many students went home. I wanted to go home and get my kids. But I didn't. I hugged them tight when we returned from work and school. My heart goes out to all of those lost. Good for those on the last plane that didn't reach their destination. They had time to respond and they did. They saved who knows how many people because of their heroic efforts. God bless you all.
NMAH Story: Life Changed
Yes, I cry a lot more. I am more thankful for family and friends. I am more courteous to people. I am trying to be a lot more tolerant of rude people. I think twice about a lot of things.
NMAH Story: Remembered
That there were a lot of heroes that day. Many in uniform and many not in uniform. We stood tall and didn't stay down when we were first knocked down. We got back up and have gone on. We can be strong and united. Stay the way forever and always. Love the RED, WHITE, and BLUE.
NMAH Story: Flag
Yes. I have always liked the stars and stripes. I have always thought about the words....Through the rockets red glare.....etc. Now it means more to me because I have lived in a time when the flag has risen up out of ashes. The flag represents us all.
