NMAH Story NMAH Story: Story How did you witness history on September 11th? Share your experience. 8798We live in Indonesia so at the time i was really sleepy and pooring a bowl of cereal. My dad came rushing in and told me to turn of cnn. When i turned it on i thought it was a movie at first. Not every day do you see a huge aircraft smash into some of the most important buildings in the United States. My whole family was in our living room watching: we were all so quit and still. Then all at once questions and emotions came out. My question at first was who did this and was it an accident. Then i saw a face that i have never seen before. That face would be stuck in my mind for a long time after that. The face belonged to Osama Bin Ladan. Still we had to go to school that day. We asked our teachers if we could watch the television instead of doing school work. All of the staff was American and Indonesian, so they let us watch the news without any problems. When school was over I went home i started to think about my family in the states. Felt that i should have been there with my counrty in times like that. Days later we went to church. During the mass we sang songs that were really patriotic. I was the alter during this church setion and i could see everyone from where i was. Everyone was crying. This really changed my life inn a way that i didnt expect it to. I will never forget that day. NMAH Story: Life Changed Has your life changed because of September 11, 2001? If so, tell us how. NMAH Story: Remembered What do you think should be remembered about September 11th? I think all the men and woman that tryed to save lives that day sured be remmembered as heros. I also think that the fact that everyone in our country stayed together at that time. George W Bush had a great hurdle to jump and he did he kept us together. NMAH Story: Flag Did you fly an American flag after the events of September 11th? Have your feelings about the American flag changed as a result of September 11th?
