NMAH Story NMAH Story: Story How did you witness history on September 11th? Share your experience. waking up on september 11, i had no idea what was ahead. I woke up to the words, "one of the world trade centers have been hit". Thinking that this was a plane crash and something must have malfunctioned in the plane, I didnt think that any terrorism was involved. Then moments later, i see on the TV that the second trade center had been hit. Now I knew that terrorism was in some way related. Before leaving for school I saw both of the world trade centers collapse. Then to go to school knowing that all this mayhem is going on while I'm sitting in a classroom. I didn't know what to expect, whether this was the end or if we would all be evacuated. The worst feeling is knowing that something bad is about to happen and not knowing what it will be.
