NMAH Story: Story
I witnessed history by seeing the biggest attack on America in American history. I was in my tenth grade health class. We watched the news just after the first plane hit and we watched watched as the second plane slammed into the tower. We watched in awe as the towers came crashing down. I dont think any of us actually realized the magnitude of what had actually happened. We didn't realize how much damage had been done and how many lives had been lost.
NMAH Story: Life Changed
My life has changed drastically since 9/11. My father is in the military and for alomost the past two years he has been away with the armed forces. I think that if the events of 9/11 hadn't happened the crisis in Iraq and in other middle eastern countries would not be as severe as they are.
NMAH Story: Remembered
People should remember that America, although it is a great country, is just a country like any other. We are not invinceable and bad things can happen to this country. MAny tragedies happen every day in many other countries and many Americans are oblivious to this. They think that nothing can happen to this country becuase we are great and very powerful, but in reality, things can happen at any time.
NMAH Story: Flag
My house has always flown an American flag for as long as I can remember. Now we have a flag in the front yard and a red and white banner with a blue star on it hanging in our front window.
I'm not sure my feelings to the flag have changed since 9/11. I have always seenthe flag as a symbol of this country, and that wont change. i feel more strongly for my country now, but my feelings for the flag are still the same.
