It was my mother's birthday, and seeing an event like this was inconceivable. I remember the heart-stopping moment when I, along with so many others here on the opposite side of the nation, watched what had taken place in New York.

I feel a stronger love for this country and the people in it. I realized that life is more important than I had ever though it was and also that death is inevitable.

The tragedy itself, how it affected the lives of so many people, and what it did to the country.

Yes. I feel that the American flag stands for everything the U.S.A. stands for. I feel proud knowing I am under that flag.
